Our Team

Joy Colino
Founder
Joy serves as a Director on the 2023-2025 Board of the International Nanny Association and is the recipient of the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies’ 2022 Rising Star Award, and will be a panelist for the 2023 APNA conference. Additionally, Joy contributes to the domestic staffing industry and community leading a weekly mastermind group, hosting quarterly in-person events for agency owners and staff, is a contributor to Nanny Magazine, and is a member of the Invisible Consulting team. She is also the founder of a 950+ member Meetup group, Unwind: Bay Area Women Entrepreneurs.
Joy’s favorite pastimes are sharing meals, stories and songs with friends. Raised in San Francisco, and having been a nanny in the City and in various surrounding cities, she is rooted in, and in service of, the amazing Bay Area.
Nannies Plus proudly holds membership to The Association of Premier nanny Agencies, and the International Nanny Association.

Chelsea Saldivar
Lead Candidate Coordinator
Chelsea has been dedicated to the Bay Area nanny community for over a decade as a former professional nanny, and currently as lead candidate coordinator at Nannies Plus. She loves making a positive impact in the lives of candidates and families she works with! Her contribution to our team also puts her excellent tech and administrative skills to use. Her most important role, though, is mom to her young son (and pet-mom to two dogs, two cats and a rat!).
Chelsea enjoys reading mysteries, historical fiction and memoirs, hand lettering and drawing, and participating in professional development workshops and events. Oh, and she is well known to her inner circle for her undeniable “Running Man” dance skills!

Jasmine Alexander
Candidate Coordinator
A former professional nanny for 5 years, Jasmine joined the Nannies Plus team as a candidate coordinator to stay connected to, and to continue to elevate, this very special industry. Her warm, caring and calm demeanor allows for a smooth and welcoming interview and registration process for Nannies Plus candidates. The best part of her workday is getting the good news that a nanny or family assistant has accepted a wonderful new position!
Jasmine loves spending time with her tight knit family, and her most treasured achievement is being a mother to her young son.

Michelle Berkely
Lead Recruiter
Michelle’s happy place is rooted in systems and efficiency. As lead recruiter, keeping Nannies Plus’ recruiting flowing smoothly brings her a great sense of accomplishment, and she loves knowing that these efforts ultimately help bring people together.
A former nanny, and mom to a young son (and pet-mom to two cats, three dogs, and a flock of chickens!) Michelle loves cooking for family and friends, spending time outdoors and in her garden, and recounting that one time when she met President Obama!

Leona Van Meter
Recruiter
Leona’s role as recruiter makes her the first point of contact for nannies and family assistants seeking to expand their careers. She enjoys providing kind, courteous and professional service to candidates joining the Nannies Plus community.
An active mother of two great kids, Leona loves connecting with nature. When she’s not kayaking down a river, you may find her captivating an audience at a local karaoke spot.

Rachel Lawrence
Lead Partner Specialist,
HomeWork Solutions
Rachel has a solid 15 year foundation in the in-home care industry. She has worked as a nanny, has operated her own boutique nanny placement agency, and as a working mom with three children, she has also been a nanny employer. Rachel served as the Operations Manager for the International Nanny Association, and subsequently as a Placement Specialist for a larger agency, and a national NCS agency, before joining HomeWork Solutions in January of 2019
Rachel is a big proponent of developing and adhering to high industry standards. She is the founder of FairAndLegalPay.com, a coalition designed to raise awareness about the need for legal pay in the industry, and to empower individuals to educate others about why it is so important. She holds membership in several industry organizations, such as the USNA, and the International Nanny Association, also serving on the INA’s board of directors as Treasurer. She regularly attends, and often speaks at, industry conferences including those put on by iNNTD, Nannypalooza, the INA, APNA, and USNA.
We can’t wait to help you make an amazing connection!
