Our Process

Nannies Plus truly cares about outcomes. We listen to your wants and needs, then consider you for positions that will be a wonderful match. We make our matches based on caregiving style, experience and background, personality fit, location, and compensation. We’ll be there for you before, during, and after your placement.

Nannies Plus works with families that understand that when you have a respectful working environment, and are paid a legal, livable wage with guaranteed hours, plus vacation and sick pay, it creates space for you to come to work focused, dedicated and ready to be your absolute best on the job!

Intake Form
As a first step we ask that you fill out a Candidate Intake Form on our website.

Phone Interview
Once you have filled out the Candidate Intake Form we’ll reach out to schedule a phone interview! This 15 minute session allows us to gain more information about your needs and experience, and gives you the opportunity to learn about our process for finding your amazing new position.

Formal Agency Interview
We’ll meet with you via video call in order to get to know you better, collect documentation for our screening process, and to understand how you envision your next position. By unpacking the highs and lows of your previous jobs, we’ll have the information needed to match you with a family that you’ll love working with!

Agency Registration
After your Formal Agency Interview we will send you an agreement to sign in order to register you with Nannies Plus. From there, we will be able to consider you for fantastic positions! 

Screening Process
We extensively screen candidates ahead of Family Interviews. This ensures peace of mind to families that Nannies Plus candidates are safe to be in their homes and caring for their children. Please see the Screening Process For Nannies for more information.

Family Interviews
The Nannies Plus team uses our 35+ years of combined experience and knowledge to match you with Nannies Plus clients that are looking for someone just like you to join their family team. If we find a family that we think will be a good fit for you, we will contact you with specific information about the job. If you are interested in exploring the opportunity further, once the background checks are cleared, and reference calls have been conducted, should the family decide to meet you, we will set up a video and/or an in-person interview between you and the family. 

Placement Process
Once a family has made a job offer that you plan to accept, we will walk you through next steps. This will include your work agreement with the family, becoming registered with TrustLine (if you are not already), bringing your CPR & First Aid up to date, and getting your TB (tuberculosis) screening. During this process, the Nannies Plus team will support you every step of the way.
