Hi Nannies Plus Community! This September, we’re back at it – bringing you the best events the East Bay has to offer! With big kids back at school, weekends are precious family connection time. Check out these awesome events to get your family through the back to school transition, and say hip, hip hooray for all the weekend has to offer!
Take it Easy on Labor Day at the Crab Cove Visitor Center’s Open House!

Don’t feel crabby, come out to the Crab Cove Visitor Center and get happy! For Labor Day Only, the Crab Cove Visitor Center is having an open house event that the whole family will love! Throughout the day, there will be a storytime event, fish feeding at 3:00 p.m, and a special “Nature Family Fun Time”. Marvel at the 800 gallon aquarium tank, and learn about the local aquatic ecosystem! Pro tip: Take a walk along the beach with the kids so everything they learn will come right to life!
Where: Tip Top Bike Shop – 4800 Telegraph Avenue #A Oakland, CA 94609
When: Friday, September 7th – 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Kiddos, come kick off Tip Top’s very first toddler sing and dance along! Singer-songwriter Melita will be leading circle time, and she’s bringing her puppet friends to help out, too. Start your morning with a little bit of movement, and maybe pick up some child-friendly bike gear (all of which will be 20% off for attendees)! Tip Top Bike Shop is in Temescal, right down the street from the Nannies Plus office. We know the area pretty well, and our suggestion is to let the good times roll (dun dun chh)! End the day with something sweet from Tara’s Organic Ice Cream or hunt for craft supplies at the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse.
Celebrate National Grandparent’s Day at Habitot!
