Ah, summer…filled with sunshine, swimming pools, beaches, and our favorite chilled treat, ice cream! Join in the Rockridge Ice Cream tour and share a little sweetness with your family. This is a one-hour walking tour that takes families with kids of all ages to explore three tasting locations in the Rockridge area. Try a variety of ice cream desserts, along with a little history of how we came to enjoy them. Parents can unleash their inner foodie while kids will enjoy tasting different flavors.

4. Family Program @ Green Gulch Farm Zen Center, Muir Beach
Retreat from city life at the calming Zen Center’s Green Gulch Farm in Muir Beach. Join in this special talk and programs for families, with a new theme every week. Kids will enjoy special activities just for them, like crafts, yoga, mindfulness practice, and farm projects. Participating families are invited to stay for tea, juice, muffins and the farmers’ market outside the zendo.

- Art + Play Sundays @ Bedford Gallery, Walnut Creek
Family fun is abundant at the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek! Get crafty with free art activities in the gallery in conjunction with the current exhibit Sweet n Low. Kids will love creating their own show-inspired sculpture, fun coloring pages to fill in, and joining in a scavenger hunt filled with surprises. Parents will get into the art, exploring the artwork in the galleries, featuring over 130 local, national and international artists selected by a jury. The theme of Sweet n Low blurs the lines between the cute and cuddly to the creepy and ironic, offering something surprising and entertaining for everyone.
