1. Create-With-Nature Earth Day Celebration, Stinson Beach

Join in an evolving outdoor sculpture gallery at Stinson Beach. All are welcome to join in constructing sculptures using elements of nature found on the beach: sand, shells, rocks, and other beach treasures! This event is fun for all ages and especially ignites the imaginations of children. Join in an experience that will inspire and energize people to care for and protect the earth throughout the year.

  1. 3rd on Third Earth Day 2017 Celebration @ Bay View Opera House, San Francisco

The Bayview Neighborhood comes alive for a community-wide arts celebration at the Bayview Town Center. Every third Friday of the month features pop-up galleries, local food vendors, a children’s zone with art making, and a stage featuring local musicians and talent. This month’s event honors Earth Day. Local band, Audiopharmacy performs live music, while interactive “Rock The Bike’s” human powered bicycle speaker system supplies the sound!

Don’t miss this year’s Cal Day at UC Berkeley, where the university opens its doors to the public with a full day of over 400 events. Just east of the Berkeley campus, the Lawrence Hall of Science, is offering a free day with lots of Earth Day and #YouthForScience activities. Kids will love exploring the universe in the planetarium, experiencing the critter corner, learning all about global climate, and engineering new inventions with Lego Bots!

4. Annual Wildlife Festival @ Wagner Ranch Nature Area, Orinda

  1. ZooKids: Skins and Scales @ The Oakland Zoo, Oakland

Earth wouldn’t be the same without reptiles and amphibians! Learn about these fascinating creatures and how to protect their habitats at the Oakland Zoo. Little ones will learn all about the strange and surprising traits of these adaptive critters. When you’ve finished the ZooKids activity, take a tour to visit with the monkeys, giraffes, and elephants that grace our remarkable planet.
